Liesse-Notre-Dame

The church of Liesse-Notre-Dame Liesse-Notre-Dame (, before 1988: ''Liesse'') is a commune in the Aisne department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. In the Middle Ages, the village near Laon developed around the cult of the Black Virgin, known as Notre-Dame de Liesse (Our Lady of Joy/or Jubilation).
