A quantitative method has been employed to analyse the Arabic connectives extracted from the word lists prepared by SketchEngine. The results revealed that connectives, particularly connectives’ sub-topic, namely ḥurwf al-jar "حرﻭوﻑف ﺍالجر" (prepositions) appeared to be on the top ten list for the most frequent words used in all corpora irrespective of country and genre.
