Based on survey samples and interviews, the author explores these opinions of Qutb's interpretation of the Qur'ān and other Islamic issues, including his socio-religious-political thought and contributions to Islamic revival. Such a study is especially warranted after numerous post-September 11 remarks offered by western writers and scholars. This pool of sundry perceptions and judgements on his life and work include Qutb's struggle to implement Islamic law in Egypt and other parts of the Muslim world.
