However, too much CA can cause severe side effect. Objective: In order to overcome the limitation, the efficacy of CA extract can be increased by using a suitable drug carrier such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and chitosan (CS). Methodology: Methanolic extraction of CA was done by using maceration method by solvent methanol/water with ratio (9:1). PVA/chitosan loaded 2,4 and 6% of centella asiatica extract were successfully fabricated using electrospinning technique. Results: From SEM images showed PVA/chitosan loaded centella asiatica were homogenous and non-woven structure Conclusion: In vitro release study of Centella asiatica extract were measured by using HPLC and showed sustained release and obeyed the first order release kinetics. 2019 Conference or Workshop Item NonPeerReviewed application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/73329/10/73329%20Release%20study%20on%20electrospun.pdf application/pdf en http://irep.iium.edu.my/73329/11/73329%20slides.pdf Mohammad Rejab, Nur Farahanum and Wan Abdul Khodir, Wan Khartini and Bakhtiar, Muhammad Taher (2019) Release study on electrospun PVA/chitosan-based nanofibers loaded with Centella Asiatica extracts.
