While little information is available about the impact of these interventions, there is some evidence that they involved a substantial number of people despite limited budgets. At the same time, there are concerns about the effectiveness of programs, particularly in low- and middle- income countries. The challenge now is to revise the policy mix to maximize the impact of the recovery on employment creation. 2012-08-13T14:04:26Z 2012-08-13T14:04:26Z 2010-10 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2010/10/13264670/jobs-crisis http://hdl.handle.net/10986/11076 English Viewpoint; No. 325 CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank World Bank, Washington, DC Publications & Research :: Viewpoint Publications & Research
