He talks about the investments that developing countries can make in the health and education of their people which will help reduce extreme poverty in the countries. He speaks about the importance of early childhood development. He talks about stronger health systems in developing countries that can extend the reach of doctors and nurses, and serve as disease outbreak alert and response networks critical to containing infections. He concludes by saying that the pregnant woman who lives in a conflict zone should be focused and we must do whatever it takes to support her so that her newborn child will have a world of opportunity, equal to that of any child in the world. 2016-05-18T19:51:34Z 2016-05-18T19:51:34Z 2015-10-29 Speech http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2016/02/25884326/ending-poverty-health-innovation-can-lead-way-world-bank-group-president-jim-yong-kim http://hdl.handle.net/10986/24289 English en_US Speech at Global Development and Poverty Initiative Conference on Shared Prosperity and Health, Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, October 29, 2016 CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank Speech
