It is important to build a strong partnership between rich countries and developing countries. He talked about Brazil producing ethanol on an enormous scale and with exceptional efficiency where ethanol prices have been steadily coming down in Brazilian industry, when global energy prices have been coming up. He noted the need to remove unnecessary trade obstacles that make bio fuels less competitive. He concluded by saying that the goal of World Bank’s new Investment Framework for Clean Energy and Development is to provide advice, technical assistance, and investment programs to help the partner countries meet the energy challenges while protecting the natural environment. 2016-08-15T21:18:11Z 2016-08-15T21:18:11Z 2006-06-07 Speech http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2016/02/25886999/clean-energy-challenge-conference-biofuels-transportation-world-bank-group-president-paul-wolfowitz-washington-dc http://hdl.handle.net/10986/24891 English en_US Remarks at Conference on Biofuels for Transportation, Washington, D.C., June 7, 2006; CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank Speech Latin America & Caribbean Brazil
