It estimates the extent to which child stunting correlates with investments in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across population groups (poor and non-poor) and residence (urban and rural). Moving away from estimating single intervention marginal returns, the empirical framework of intervention packages is tested in Tunisia, a country with notable but uneven progress in reducing stunting. A successful nutritional strategy will thereby require mapping the distinctive intervention packages by residence and socioeconomic status, away from universal policies, that more strongly correlate with reduction in stunting. 2019-07-12T19:27:52Z 2019-07-12T19:27:52Z 2018-09-18 Journal Article The Journal of Development Studies 0022-0388 http://hdl.handle.net/10986/32082 CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/igo World Bank Taylor and Francis Publications & Research Publications & Research :: Journal Article Middle East and North Africa Tunisia
