The study considers the contribution of e-buses to sustainable mobility and the methods used to measure associated reductions in emissions, in addition to the importance of these new technologies in raising public transport standards and complying with climate change commitments. Currently, the public transport system in Santiago is going through a transition to green technology with the introduction of electric and diesel Euro VI buses, and toward a new bidding process that aims to separate the operation of bus services and provision. This change brings new regulatory challenges, but also opportunities for the introduction of new technologies. This report investigates some of the main challenges and opportunities Santiago and other cities face as they move toward a cleaner fleet. 2020-09-15T16:59:26Z 2020-09-15T16:59:26Z 2020-09-11 Report http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/656661600060762104/Lessons-from-Chile-s-Experience-with-E-mobility-The-Integration-of-E-Buses-in-Santiago http://hdl.handle.net/10986/34435 English CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo World Bank World Bank, Washington, DC Economic & Sector Work Economic & Sector Work :: Other Urban Study Latin America & Caribbean Chile
