It particularly focuses on labor supply and employment patterns, job characteristics, and their spatial nexus. The analysis first shows that female and young workers are more likely to experience unemployment and underemployment than other workers in Kinshasa. Second, the availability of good quality jobs is still limited in Kinshasa. Third, in addition to the scarcity of good jobs, which are concentrated in the city core, poor accessibility due to the limited connective infrastructure and transport system further reduces job opportunities for people living in the outskirts. 2021-12-02T20:40:47Z 2021-12-02T20:40:47Z 2021-11 Working Paper http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/undefined/150621637329451791/Demographic-and-Spatial-Disparities-in-Labor-Market-Outcomes-within-the-Kinshasa-Urban-Landscape http://hdl.handle.net/10986/36632 English Policy Research Working Paper; No. 9856 CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo World Bank World Bank, Washington, DC Publications & Research Publications & Research :: Policy Research Working Paper Africa Africa Eastern and Southern (AFE) Congo, Democratic Republic of
