Each of implementation of security system will be depending on the building type and location, and on what needs to be secured. Building security should be addressed early in the design process in order to ensure an appropriate and cost-effective level of security. Since September, 11 tragedy, every building especially government building have been tightening their security controls. It became one of the most local authority requirement that need to be fulfilled before constructing a new building. Which means, every new design will have to comply the security and safety requirement before proceed with the construction. Different type of building will have different type of security technology system that being installed in the building. For example, fire alarm is one of security technology system that being applied in any types of building without differentiating their uses on the building. But, for a security device such as radio- frequency identification (RFID), the device is only being use in certain area such as in order to locate the machinery or other hospital equipment. By identifying the types of security technology system apply in hospitals building, thus it will helps the hospitals on choosing the right and best device that suit their building needs to cater the security and safety issues that reportedly occur in the hospital building.
