Summary:Nowadays, the Human Resource (HR) function is in the midst of a complete operational transformation. Human Resources Management (HRM) is the strategic and coherent approach to the management of a company’s most valued assets- the employee which is the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business. According to Tang, Roberto, Toto & Tang (2004) from United States and Spain, job satisfaction is an effective reaction to a job that results from the incumbent’s comparison of actual outcomes with those that are desired or expected. Job satisfaction of the employees is just as important as customer satisfaction in terms of organizational performance. Therefore, employers must make sure all their employees are satisfied with their job and the key to ensure the staffs are satisfied with their job is the compensation and benefit. Compensation and benefits are one of the fastest changing fields in Human Resources, as many company are continue to investigate various ways of rewarding employees for increases their job satisfaction and their performance. The compensation and benefits in every company are very important to make sure their employee’s welfare is secure during work or after retirement in the organization. Employee benefits are various non-wage compensations provided to employees in addition to their normal wages or salaries. Some of these benefits are; housing (whether provide by the company or paid by the company), insurance (health, life, dental etc) retirement benefits, sick leave and other specialized benefits.
