Summary: | Nowadays, facilities management plays an important role in a building, it become importance for many types of building especially hospital in order to ensure the building user can work comfortable and safely. For this reason, it should have good maintenance services to sustain the function of all facilities within the building. As generally known, hospital building is one of the most complicated building to be maintained especially regarding to the public facilities provided where it is directly involving the various users including visitors. In order to determine the maintenance aspect in public facilities management, 3 case studies was conducted within Hospital Sungai Buloh, Hospital putrajaya and Hospital Serdang. The data was collected through interview and questionnaire with the person who involves directly in maintenance management and also through questionnaire to identify the level of satisfactory and comfortable of the users on the public facilities provided within each hospitals and to make a few recommendation to improve the facilities performance within the selected building. From the research and analysis, it is found that the major problem faced by the user within the studied building is insufficient parking space provided, this problem is caused by the less consideration in design on the hospital service expansion and the increasing of hospital user in the future. |
