Civil engineering (General) Hydrological modeling is a commonly used tool to estimate the basin’s hydrological response due to precipitation. This study presented a rainfall-runoff transformation model for Bukit Kenau station in Kuantan River Basin using HEC-HMS (Hydrologic Engineering Centre Hydrology Modeling System). The aim of this study is to calibrate and validate the rainfall-runoff transformation model for Bukit Kenau Station. As a result, it can forecast the river flow for future and helps in the flood mitigation works planning to reduce the impacts along with the cost use in the mitigation works. The modeling for Bukit Kenau station can also contributes to the future flood planning activities to prevent from upcoming flood event. The result obtained from this study can be as a guidelines for flood mitigation design in future and can be useful for the purpose of designing hydraulic structure in this study area. In this study, HEC-HMS model was used to simulate the rainfall-runoff relationship process and to compute the runoff volume, peak runoff rate, base flow, losses and transform. For losses rate, SCS Curve Number method was selected while for transfom method, Clark Unit Hydrograph and Snyder Unit Hydrograph method were used and analyzed. The value curve number (CN) for subbasin is 72 while the percentage of impervious area is 10% for all calibration and validation processes. From this study, it was found that the volume of runoff was depends on the rainfall intensity. After the comparison between Clark UH and Snyder UH method, it found that Snyder UH was the best method for Bukit Kenau station in Kuantan River Basin. The model calibration and validation for Snyder UH method was found to be satisfactory with highest values of percentage Efficiency Index 64.43% instead of that Clark is 56.56%. 2016-06 Undergraduates Project Papers NonPeerReviewed application/pdf en http://umpir.ump.edu.my/id/eprint/15875/1/Modelling%20of%20rainfall-runoff%20relationship%20for%20Bukit%20Kenau%20station%20in%20Kuantan%20River%20Basin%20-Table%20of%20content%20-FKASA%20-Nur%20Miza%20Mohamad%20-CD10176.PDF application/pdf en http://umpir.ump.edu.my/id/eprint/15875/2/Modelling%20of%20rainfall-runoff%20relationship%20for%20Bukit%20Kenau%20station%20in%20Kuantan%20River%20Basin%20-Abstract%20-FKASA%20-Nur%20Miza%20Mohamad%20-CD10176.PDF application/pdf en http://umpir.ump.edu.my/id/eprint/15875/3/Modelling%20of%20rainfall-runoff%20relationship%20for%20Bukit%20Kenau%20station%20in%20Kuantan%20River%20Basin%20-Chapter%201%20-FKASA%20-Nur%20Miza%20Mohamad%20-CD10176.PDF Nur Miza, Mohamad (2016) Modelling of rainfall-runoff relationship for Bukit Kenau station in Kuantan River Basin.
