In this paper, multi-area Frequency Control by using the combination of PSO and fuzzy logic control (FLC) technique. PSO optimization method is used to tuning the fuzzy controller input and output gains. Four of an interconnected electrical power system used as a testing the effectiveness of the proposed method compared to a conventional PI controller and scaled-fuzzy controller. The simulation result has been shown that the controller can generate the best dynamic response in multi-load conditions.
