Loch

View of [[Ben Lomond ''Loch'' ( ) is a word meaning "lake" or "sea inlet" in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, subsequently borrowed into English. In Irish contexts, it often appears in the anglicized form "lough". A small loch is called a lochan.
