Amalia Rubin is an American singer known for performing in the Tibetan language, blending traditional Tibetan folk music with contemporary styles. Raised in a Reform Jewish household in upstate New York, she studied Asian studies and International Studies before travelling extensively in Tibet and Mongolia. Rubin has released two albums, ''Mountains and Deserts'' and ''Leaving Home'', featuring traditional Tibetan songs, and has performed in more than 30 concerts worldwide.
